Welcome kay Senador Lito Lapid ang pagsasabatas ng Student Loan Payment Moratorium During Disasters of Emergency Act o RA 12007.

Bilang principal author ng panukalang batas nito, nagpasalamat si Lapid kay Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. at sa mga kapwa niya mambabatas para sa mabilis na pagsasabatas nito.

Iniaalay ng senador ang batas na ito para sa mga estudyante at kanilang mga pamilya.

Aniya, bahagi ito ng mga batas na tutulong sa ating mga kababayan na naaapektuhan ng mga kalamidad.

Pinunto ni Lapid na layon ng batas na ito na hikayatin ang mga pamilyang Pilipino na mamuhunan sa edukasyon ng kanilang mga anak sa pamamagitan ng pagtitiyak na tutulungan sila ng gobyerno sakaling mangailangan sila kapag may kalamidad o sakuna. | ulat ni Nimfa Asuncion
