Pansamantalang pagsuspinde ng contribution hike sa SSS, ipinanawagan

Nanawagan ang dating Pangulo at CEO ng Social Security System (SSS) na si Rolando Ledesma Macasaet, sa pansamantalang pagsuspinde sa contribution hike sa SSS.

Sa isang pahayag, nilinaw ng kinatawan ng SSS-GSIS Pensyonado Partylist na walang kahit isang sentimo mula sa SSS ang inilagak sa Maharlika Fund.

Kasunod ito ng mga ulat na ang pagtaas ng kontribusyon sa SSS ay para umano palitan ang pondong ibinigay ng ahensya sa Maharlika Investment Fund.

Ayon kay Macasaet, ang contribution hike ay alinsunod sa Republic Act No. 11199 o Social Security Act of 2018, na nagtatakda ng mga pagtaas ng premium hanggang 2025.

Panawagan nito sa Malacañang, hilingin sa SSS Board na pansamantalang suspendihin ang implementasyon ng anumang pagtaas ng kontribusyon.

Hindi naman aniya ito makakaapekto sa malaking fund life ng SSS dahil kumita naman ito ng mahigit P80 bilyon noong 2023, at nagkaroon ng banner year na mahigit P100 bilyon noong 2024. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
