Komite sa “kontra bigay” ng COMELEC, pormal nang ilulunsad

Bilang bahagi ng hakbang para mapigilan ang vote buying at vote selling sa panahon ng kampanya, pormal nang ilulunsad ng Commission on Elections (COMELEC) ang komite ng ‘kontra bigay’.

Mamayang hapon lalagda na sila ng memorandum of agreement (MOA) sa Chairman’s Hall Palacio del Gobernador Intramuros Maynila.

Kabilang na dito ang iba’t ibang tanggapan ng pamahalan tulad ng Department of Justice, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Education, Department of Information and Communications Technology, Department of Social Welfare and Development, at Commission on Audit.

Kasama rin ang Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police at National Bureau of Investigation sa law enforcement agencies na partners ng Comelec.

Magiging katuwang din ng poll body ang Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Anti-Money Laundering Council at dalawang malaking e-wallet na Gcash at Paymaya.

Babala ni Comelec Chairperson George Garcia, pinapayagan ang warrantless arrest sa vote buying at vote selling, ito ay batay na rin sa resolusyong inilabas sa pinalawig na kapangyarihan ng Kontra Bigay Committee.
