Bilang ng mga naaresto dahil sa paglabag sa COMELEC gun ban, umabot na sa higit 1,700—PNP

Umabot na sa 1,783 na indibidwal ang bilang ng mga naaresto dahil sa paglabag sa Commission on Elections (COMELEC) gun ban.

Ito ay batay sa pinakahuling datos ng Philippine National Police (PNP).

Ayon sa PNP, nangunguna pa rin ang National Capital Region sa pinakamaraming naitalang paglabag na may 603 na bilang ng mga naaresto. Sumunod ang Central Luzon na may 250, at Central Visayas sa 249.

Kabilang sa mga naaresto ay mga sibilyan, security guard, PNP personnel, foreign national, at miyembro ng militar.

Samantala, umabot na sa 1,825 na mga armas ang nasamsam mula sa mga checkpoint, police response, gun buybust, at anti-illegal drugs operation.

Kabilang sa mga nakumpiska ang pistol, revolver, shotgun, rifle, at mga pampasabog.

Samantala, dalawang suspected election-related incidents ang naitala ng PNP, isa sa Region 11 at isa sa Region 4A.
