Inihayag ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na mahigit 49,000 mga indibidwal ang lumahok sa 58 na mga rally na sa isinagawang sa buong bansa nitong Sabado, March 14 hanggang Linggo, March 15 ng mga taga-suporta ng dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Ito ay kasunod ng pagkaka-aresto sa dating Pangulo ng International Criminal Court kaugnay sa kasong crimes against humanity.

Ayon kay PNP Public Information Office Chief Police Colonel Randulf Tuaño, karamihan sa mga rally ay naganap sa Davao City kung saan nagpahayag ang mga raliyista ng kanilang suporta para sa dating Pangulo.

Ani Tuaño, mapayapa naman ang mga isinagawang rally at patuloy na mino-monitor ng mga awtoridad ang sitwasyon, habang may mga nakalatag na security measures para matiyak ang kapayapaan at kaayusan sa bansa.

Samantala, sinabi rin ni Tuaño na ang heightened alert status na ipinatupad noong March 11 kasunod ng pag-aresto kay Duterte, ay inalis na at wala pang plano na itaas muli sa ngayon. | ulat ni Diane Lear
