Nasa Pilipinas na ngayon si United States Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth para sa dalawang araw na working visit.

Batay sa “X” post ni US Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Carlson, dumating si Hegseth sakay ng isang chartered flight kagabi.

Ngayong umaga, nakatakdang makipagpulong si Hegseth kay Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. sa Kampo Aguinaldo.

Kabilang sa mga inaasahang tatalakayin ng dalawang opisyal ay ang pagpapalakas ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at ang pagpapalalim ng ugnayan ng dalawang bansa sa ilalim ng nagbabalik na administrasyong Donald Trump.

Ito ang magiging kauna-unahang pagkikita nila Teodoro at Hegseth matapos ang kanilang naging pag-uusap sa telepono noong Pebrero. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
