Tiniyak ni Senate Committee on Finance Chairperson Senator Grace Poe na makakatugon ang 2025 proposed budget sa naitalang utang ng bansa.

Paliwanag ni Poe, kinonsidera na ng ating economic managers ang projected debt ng bansa para matiyak na patuloy na lalago ang ekonomiya ng bansa, at malalampasan ang ano mang liabilities.

Bahagi aniya ng fiscal strategy ng economic managers ang pagpapanatili ng resiliency ng debt profile ng bansa.

Partikular na sa pamamagitan ng pagpa-prayoridad ng local debts kumpara sa foreign debts.

Iginiit ng senator, na sinisigurado nito na ang ating mga utang ay hindi naaapektuhan ng galaw ng foreign exchange (forex).

Kung tutuusin aniya ay unti-unti pang naibaba ang debt-to-GDP ratio ng Pilipinas mula noong pandemic.

Binigyang diin ni Poe, na ang importante ay kayang mabayaran ng bansa ang utang natin nang hindi maaapektuhan ang serbisyo ng gobyerno, at magagamit ang perang inutang sa pagpapalago ng ating ekonomiya. | ulat ni Nimfa Asuncion
