Presyo ng kamatis, pababa na — DA

Tiniyak ng Department of Agriculture (DA) na pababa na sa mga susunod na linggo ang presyo ng kamatis sa merkado.

Kasunod ito ng naitalang pagsipa ng presyo ng kamatis na batay sa DA Bantay Presyo ay umaabot sa ₱120 hanggang ₱180 ang bentahan ngayon kada kilo.

Ayon kay DA Assistant Secretary Arnel de Mesa, magdadatingan na ang maraming volume ng kamatis sa mga susunod na linggo dahil magaanihan na ang maraming producer nito.

Paliwanag naman ni De Mesa, sumipa ang presyo ng kamatis dahil sa delay sa harvest sa Nueva Vizcaya at pati na rin ang epekto ng Bagyong Aghon na tumama noong Mayo.

Kadalasan rin aniyang naapektuhan ng mga pag-ulan ang presyo ng agri commodities gaya ng kamatis.

Kasunod nito, tiniyak naman ng DA na hindi na aabot sa hanggang ₱200 ang kada kilo ng kamatis at maaaring ang ₱160 ang pinakamataas nang presyo nito. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
