Hinimok ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez ang mga kapwa civil servant na magtulungan at magkaisa para masigurong maibsan ang epekto ng inflation at mataas na presyo ng mga bilihin.
Ayon sa House leader, ang mga opisyal ng lokal at pamahalaang nasyonal ay dapat magtulong-tulong sa pagpapatupad ng mga programa para tugunan ang pasanin ng publiko.
Aniya, dahil sa simula na ng anihan ay unti-unti nang bababa ang presyo ng mga batayang pangangailangan.
Ngunit kailangan aniya ng kolektibong aksyon mula sa gobyerno upang mas mabilis na maisakatuparan ang pagbaba sa presyo ng mga bilihin.
“Now, more than ever, is the time for unity and teamwork. Let’s roll up our sleeves, work double-time, and deliver real results for our kababayans. This isn’t just about waiting for harvests, this is about all of us in government coming together to ensure our people feel relief faster,” sabi ni Romualdez.
Tinukoy nito ang ilan sa mga programang inilunsad ng pamahalaan gaya ng digital food stamp sa pamamagitan ng P3,000 na food allowance; fuel subsidy program para sa public transport sector at gayundin ang mga tulong pinansyal para sa mga magsasaka.
“Farmers, the heroes behind our country’s food supply, haven’t been overlooked. Financial assistance is flowing to rice farmers, with an additional incentive; the government is committing to purchase their rice yields at improved rates, safeguarding their livelihoods and ensuring they receive just compensation for their hard work,” tinukoy ng House Speaker.
Pinuri din ni Romualdez ang hakbang ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na alisin ang “pass-through fee” para sa mga ibinabiyaheng kalakal na makakabawas sa market prices.
