Sahod ng mga kasambahay sa NCR maaaring tumaas

Maaaring tumaas ang buwanang sahod ng mga kasambahay sa National Capital Region (NCR), ayon sa National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) sa isinagawang public hearing ng Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB).

Ayon sa NWPC, posible ang pag-akyat ng minimum wage ng mga kasambahay. Kung saan sinabi ni Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma na maaaring umabot ito sa P400-P1,000.

Maaalala noong Hunyo 2022, inaprubahan ng RTWPB-NCR ang P1,000 na dagdag-sahod na nagresulta sa kasalukuyang P6,000 na minimum na buwanang kita ng mga kasambahay sa rehiyon.

Ibinahagi rin ng NWPC na ang ibang mga rehiyon ay nag-apruba na ng dagdag-sahod para sa mga kasambahay, kasabay ng iba pang minimum wage earners.

Sa kasalukuyan, may mga nasa 200,000 kasambahay ang nagtatrabaho sa Metro Manila. | ulat ni EJ Lazaro
