DSWD programs, nilinaw na hiwalay sa pulitika at may sinusunod na sariling guidelines

Tiniyak ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) na lahat ng programa at serbisyo ng ahensya ay naibibigay ng maayos sa publiko.

Ayon kay DSWD Assistant Secretary for Disaster Response Management Group Irene Dumlao, kung mayroon mang pulitiko o local officials na dumadalo sa DSWD activities, ito ay bilang isang respeto at oversight functions nila bilang legislators pero ang ahensya pa rin ang overall implementor.

Ang nasabing pahayag ay kaugnay ng ginanap na Senate hearing noong Martes kung saan kinuwestiyun ang ilang DSWD officials kaugnay ng umanoy “selective and delayed payout activities,” sa ilalim ng Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.

Sabi ni Asst. Secretary Dumlao, nakikipag-ugnayan ang lahat ng DSWD regional directors sa mga concerned local government unit (LGU) sa implementasyon ng social protection programs gaya ng cash aid payout activities ng AICS.

Tiniyak din ni Asec. Dumlao na walang delayed payout.

Sa ilalim ng ECT program, kapag ang LGU ay nagdeklara ng ‘state of calamity’ dito na pumapasok ang tulong ng DSWD upang mag-distribute ng mga additional relief assistance. | ulat ni Rey Ferrer
