LTFRB Chief, tiniyak ang zero tolerance sa mga ‘kamote’ driver sa public transport

Ipinag-utos na ni Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Chairperson Teofilo Guadiz III ang ganap na pagsugpo sa mga reckless public utility vehicle (PUV) driver.

Ito ay matapos ang panawagan ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. para sa mahigpit na disiplina sa kalsada.

Nag-ugat ito matapos ang viral road accidents sa Commonwealth Avenue at Valenzuela City na kinasasangkutan ng tinatawag na “kamote drivers” o mga PUV Driver na nagbabalewala sa batas trapiko.

Sinabi ni Guadiz, nakipagtulungan na ang LTFRB sa Land Transportation Office (LTO), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), at local government units para matukoy at maparusahan ang mga sangkot na driver.

Nagbanta pa ito na pati mga franchise holder na bigong makontrol ang kanilang driver ay makakasuhan din, at mapapatawan ng suspensyon.

Magpapakalat na ang LTFRB ng field inspectors at palalakasin ang koordinasyon sa enforcement agencies.

Bukod pa ito sa apela sa commuters at motorista na agad i-report ang mga reckless driver sa LTFRB 24/7 Hotline na 1342 o ipadala ang mensahe sa Official Facebook Page nito. | ulat ni Rey Ferrer
