Pinarere-review ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. ang listahan ng lahat ng pulis na na-dismiss sa serbisyo o Absent Without Leave (AWOL) bilang bahagi ng pinaigting na kampanya laban sa private armed groups.

Ayon sa PNP chief, tinitignan nila ang mga rekord ng mga pulis na natanggal sa serbisyo na “highly skilled” sa paghahawak ng armas.

Ganito aniya ang ginagawa sa Estados Unidos para mabantayan ang aktibidad ng mga ito sa labas ng organisasyon.

Samantala, sinabi ni General Azurin na pinaniniwalaang mga dating sundalo ang nalalabing at-large na suspek sa pagpatay kay Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo at walong iba pa, matapos na lumabas na mga dating sundalo ang unang apat na suspek na nahuli.
