EDCA site sa Isabela, binisita ni Defense Sec. Gilbert Teodoro

Binisita ngayong araw ni Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilbert Teodoro ang Camp Melchor dela Cruz sa Gamu, Isabela.

Isa ito sa apat na karagdagang Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) sites, na nakapaloob sa kasunduan sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Estados Unidos.

Ayon sa kalihim, kabilang sa mga itatayo sa nabanggit na lugar ang vertical landing pad, maintenance bay gayundin ang logistic warehouses 1 at 2.

Kasamang bumisita ni Teodoro sa nabanggit na EDCA site si Isabela Governor Rodolfo Albano III.

Nauna nang binisita ng kalihim ang isa pang EDCA site sa Lal-lo, Cagayan at magpapatuloy pa ito.

Magugunitang sinabi ng DND, na ang mga karagdayang EDCA site ay gagamitin para sa humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) operations ng militar, gayundin sa seguridad ng bansa. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
