The diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Israel will not be affected and will continue.
This was made clear by Israeli Ambassador to the Philippines, Her Excellency Dana Kursh in an interview over Radyo Pilipinas World Service.
Ambassador Kursh made the statement behind the recent walk out of delegates, including from the Philippines, at the United Nations General Assembly prior to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the event.
Israel and the Philippines has a long historic friendship and diplomatic ties that goes far back during the persecution of the Jews by the Nazi Regime during World War II wherein then former Philippine President Manuel Quezon opened the door for jewish refugees to have a safe haven in the Philippines.
Now, Israel for a long time has welcomed thousands of Filipino Migrant Workers in their country as health care and skilled workers providing a second home for OFWs where they are highly regarded and treated as family by their employers.
Listen to Ambassador Kursh as she highlights the continued diplomatic relations between Israel and the Philippines.
