Ernest John Obiena returned to the top of the podium after winning gold in the 1st International Pole Vault Meeting in Halberstadt, Germany.
Obiena cleared 5.76 meters on his first attempt to top the 10-man field and claim sixth title this year.
He later attempted 5.90 meters but was unsuccessful in all three tries.
Qatar’s Abdelsalam Seifeldin settled for silver at 5.66 meters, while American Walsh Cole placed third after clearing 5.56 meters.
The victory comes after Obiena’s runner-up finish two weeks earlier at the Meeting Madrid where he registered a season best of 5.85 meters.
