Tiniyak ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na matutuloy ang kauna-unahang Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections ngayong taon, na naitakda sa ikalawang Lunes ng Setyembre.
Ayon sa Pangulo, malayo na ang progresong narating sa rehiyon, sa pamamagitan ng pagtutulungan ng National Government at Bangsamoro Region.
Kailangan aniya, maipagpatuloy ang mga hakbang para sa pagsusulong ng pangmatagalang kapayapan, katatagan, at mayabong na Bangsamoro Region.
“While we acknowledge the significant progress achieved through the partnership between the National Government and the Bangsamoro Government, we recognize that there is our shared task remains of building a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Bangsamoro and that work continues,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Kaugnay nito, sinabi ng Pangulo na ang mga pagbabagong ipinatupad sa Bangsamoro Organic Law, kasunod ng Supreme Court ruling sa territorial composition ng Bangsamoro Region, nagbibigay ng kinakailangang ligal at administrative adjustments, upang masiguro ang maayos, credible, at inclusive electoral process.
Alinsunod nito, binigyang-diin ni Pangulong Marcos ang determinasyon ng administrasyon na maisakatuparan sa Setyembre ang halalan sa BARMM.
”Consistent with this objective, the first Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections was rescheduled to the second Monday of September 2026,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Para rin kasi aniya ito sa layunin ng pamahalaan, na magkaroon na ng duly elected parliamentary sa Bangsamoro Region.
“To finally achieve our dream, our goal of being able to say that we have a duly elected parliament in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. This provides the BARMM Government sufficient time to implement the Court’s decision while upholding the autonomy and democratic aspirations of the Bangsamoro people,” ani Pangulong Marcos.
