Tinitingnan ng House prosecution panel si dating DepEd official Atty. Michael Poa bilang hostile witness sa impeachment trial ni Vice President Sara Duterte.
Ayon kay House trial Spokesperson Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong, mahalagang testigo si Poa dahil nagsilbi siyang Assistant Secretary at Spokesperson ng DepEd noong kalihim pa si Duterte.
Si Poa rin umano ang tumugon sa Audit Observation Memoranda o AOM ng Commission on Audit kaugnay sa confidential funds ng DepEd.
Dahil dito, ikinokonsidera ng prosecution na ilagay si Poa sa parehong kategorya ni OVP Assistant Secretary Lemuel Ortonio na naunang iniharap bilang hostile witness.
Ayon kay Adiong, adversarial ang posisyon ni Poa dahil bahagi na ito ngayon ng defense panel.
Gayunman, binigyang-diin ng prosecution na impeachment court pa rin ang magdedesisyon kung maaari siyang ma-qualify bilang hostile witness.
“Ortonio’s official designation on the part of the OVP is assistant secretary. So his direct counterpart in DepEd was then Assistant Secretary Atty. Poa…He is actually part of the defense panel, so he’s adversarial to the position that the prosecution panel is standing on.
