Aamyendahan ng panukala ang Section 26 ng Republic Act No. 8042 o Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act at Section 14 ng Republic Act No. 11641 o Department of Migrant Workers Act.
“This ensures that the government funds for legal aid are used in standard efficient in the careful way. Finally, the bill guarantees that no Filipinois left behind in countries where the DMW does not have an MWO or Migrant Workers office. The DFA is ordered to step in and give them full legal and practical help to our OFWs. Madam Speaker, House Bill No. 9462 does more than just give financial aid. It provides real protection. It ensures that when our countrymen work abroad, they do not leave their rights behind.” saad ni Revilla sa kaniyang sponsorship speech.
